Suggested Itinerary Texas

Texas is the nation’s second largest state, and home to a mix of Mexican, Native American, and Southwestern American cultures. While many parts of Texas are quite rural, areas like Austin and Dallas are thriving urban centers. Whether you travel to Texas for the beaches, fishing, or simply to experience the features of the state, the Texas travel planner information described below can help you organize a great vacation.

Suggested itineraries for Austin:

1-3 Days

Suggested itineraries for Austin for a short trip to the city can still include plenty of fun. Austin is known throughout Texas and the nation as a great place for live music, and that reputation is only growing. On any given night at just about any venue travelers can find a well known act or an up and coming newbie. Either way, you won’t regret setting aside time to take in a live show while in Austin. With just a day or two, you might also spend the day at the Austin Zoo or the Capital Visitors Center, as Austin is the capital of Texas.

4-7 Days

With many days to spend in Austin, you can spend more time with suggested itineraries for Austin. The University of Texas is located in the city and gives Austin much of its progressive flair. Throughout the city, travelers will find plenty of tours and great places to visit. The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, the Austin Museum of Art, and the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum are some great ways to spend a day in the summer and escape from the heat.

7+ Days

With a week or more to spend in Austin, you will definitely want to see the sights mentioned above. Your Texas travel planner for Austin with more days, however, can also include some longer trips to areas around the city. The Highland Lakes are an excellent choice. A series of six dams has created a series of corresponding lakes that stretch for more than 150 miles north of Austin. San Antonio is about 80 miles away, and the Riverwalk in San Antonio as well as the chance to check out the Alamo is well worth the drive.

Suggested Itineraries for Dallas:

1-3 Days

If you only plan to be in Dallas for a day or two, you can’t go wrong by heading downtown to shop and enjoy some of the excellent southwest cuisine found in the city. Suggested itineraries for Dallas frequently send folks the heart of the city to simply take in the uniqueness of Dallas.

4-7 Days

With more time for your suggested itineraries for Dallas, your Texas travel planner can include more time in the city. The Nasher Sculpture Center, the Dallas World Aquarium, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, and the Sixth Floor Museum are all great ways to experience the culture and fun of Dallas and your Dallas itinerary.

7+ Days

Your Dallas itinerary for a week or more can expand to some areas around the city, as well. You may even choose to take a side trip to Fort Worth, a near by city with attractions of its own. In addition to many of the activities listed above, you’ll enjoy time spent shopping at Dallas-themed shops such as Boot Town and Wild Bill’s, or dining out at some of the great downtown restaurants.

Whether you plan a Dallas itinerary, an Austin itinerary, or a trip to anywhere else in the state of Texas, your trip to the state of Texas is bound to be full of excitement, and you will certainly never find another place exactly like Texas.
