As Temple Square itself is centrally located, there are scores of hotels near Temple Square that are also quite accessible to all the city's many other attractions and numerous shopping venues. While a substantial number of the hotels near Temple Square are fairly high-end properties, it is possible to can find cheaper hotels, although most of these are a bit further away from the site. Additionally, as there is excellent public transportation in the city, you don't have to have the more expensive Temple Square lodging if you're on a budget but still want good access to the Mormon Temples and other sites.

The Inn on the Hill is even closer to the things to do in the Square, and is an opulent 1906 mansion with lovely grounds. It is modeled after the old English manor houses of the time; there is even a lovely paneled billiards room. Twelve grand rooms boast the names of the state's national parks and other attractions, including Canyonlands, Sundance, Bryce, Wasatch, and Arches. The former carriage house is an entire two-level apartment with kitchen, and is a great Temple Square lodging for families.
