Utah Camping

A Utah camping vacation allows you to have an up close and personal experience with the state’s natural wonders. Each Utah camping area is as varied as the state’s amazing attractions. Depending on your preferences, you can find Utah camping sites in most parts of the state. Some, such as the KOA Utah Camping sites, have a number of amenities, as well as RV hook-ups. Others are a bit more rustic, and only suitable for tent camping in Utah. Let’s take a look at some of them.

Utah Camping at Bear Lake Garden City: After you have parked your RV or pitched your tent at this scenic Utah camping area, take a walk to Bear Lake and check out the view. Bear Lake is a 20-mile-long natural lake that straddles the Utah/Idaho border. Because of its turquoise water and white sandy beaches, some people refer to Bear Lake as the Caribbean of the Rocky Mountains. Bicycles and four wheelers are available for rent at the campsite office.

Camping in Utah Heber Valley: There are a variety of Utah camping sites in the Heber Valley, which range from rustic to modern camping. If you enjoy the backcountry, you can go tent camping in Utah almost anywhere in the national forest. You can also car camp on the dirt roads that lead to the backcountry.

Dinosaurland Camping in Utah: You’ve heard about dancing with wolves? How about camping with dinosaurs? Well, dinosaur tracks, at least. This Vernal Utah camping area is an excellent base for hiking through Dinosaurland and the other nearby Utah attractions. The campsite has a pool and a miniature golf course.

Native American Tent Camping in Utah: At the Utah Trails Cultural Center in Kanab, you can stay in a traditional Native American tipi designed by the tipi designers for the film Dances With Wolves. The tipis are decorated with Navajo rugs, Pendleton blankets, wooden chests, dream catchers, and other authentic Native American details. Complementary breakfast and evening campfires are included with the booking.

Mystic Hot Springs Utah camping sites: Who needs a hot tub when you can enjoy the natural mineral hot springs in Monroe, Utah? The Mystic Hot Springs Utah camping sites are located in the quiet foothills of Monroe Mountain. Pitch your tent and breathe the cool, fresh mountain air, surrounded by the scent of sweet pine. If you would prefer, RV hookups are also available, as well as clean bathrooms and hot showers.
