Popular summer and fall destinations for fly fishing in Utah include Jones Hole Creek in Dinosaur National Monument below Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery, Carter Creek and Sheep Creek west of Flaming Gorge. Eastern Utah Fly Fishing
A Utah fly fishing trip to the Eastern region can reap a number of rewards, since the Eastern Utah Castle Country offers a vast variety of excellent fishing areas. Shore fishermen will be successful in this region if they cast near areas that provide the fish with shelter and food. These include inlets, bays, fallen trees, dams and/or spillway areas. Fishing in Utah: Southern Region
The Sevier River that runs parallel to Hwy 89 is famous for German Brown and rainbow trout fishing. In the southern part of the basin, Panguitch Creek below Panguitch Lake, and the Beaver River near Beaver are popular destinations for fishing in Utah. If you prefer fishing in streams, Southwestern Utah has many some excellent options. These include Virgin River east of Zion National Park and north of Glendale, Mammoth Creek south of Hatch, Parowan Creek east of Parowan, and the Sevier River along Hwy 89 near Bryce Canyon.
