Both resorts offer both night and daytime skiing as well as rentals.
Virginia ski areas include Snowshoe Mountain in the west. Sixty trails and fourteen lifts have made Snowshoe one of the most popular Virginia ski areas. Fifteen hundred feet of vertical drop beats out the competition while more than 23,000 skiers are lifted every hour. Glide down 1.5 miles on the longest run while swerving by trees heavily blanketed by the almost 200 inches of annual snow fall. Snowshoe Mountain is split into four areas that include Silver Creek, the Northern Tract, Snowshoe Basin and the Western Territory. one of the more family-oriented ski resorts in Virginia
found amidst the Blue Ridge Mountains near Charlottesville.
