1-3 Days

Richmond also has an IMAX dome that shows various science films throughout the year. In the evening, your best bet for entertainment will likely be catching a show of some sort; Richmond is not known for its party atmosphere and pubs and clubs can be hard to find.
7+ Days
With a week or more, your time can be split between historical sites in Richmond, side trips to nearby towns, and days spent in the countryside hiking. Some great side trips from Richmond include a trip to Petersburg, a drive to the Center Hill Mansion or the Siege Museum, or a tour of some of the lesser known Civil War battlefields that surround Richmond.
