Seattle to Alaska Cruise

Argosy Cruises | Cruises to Alaska | Cruise Terminal / Seattle Waterfront | Seattle Cruises | Victoria Clipper

The Pacific Northwest, with its rugged coastal beaches lined with rocky cliffs and pounded by crashing surf, is home to some of the loveliest vistas anywhere in the country. Cruises to Alaska are one of the best ways to see this lovely region. The area that is covered in a Seattle to Alaska cruise includes humpback whale migrating areas, the orcas' permanent home waters in the San Juan Islands, coastal rainforests and wild beaches covered in fallen old growth.

A mysterious fog shrouds some of the coast in a thick white carpet, and it lingers in the hills and valleys, the perfect scenery you can expect on an Alaska cruise. The sun does make its appearance, and when it does, the incredible combination of fresh air, green trees, sparkling water and fluffy white fog combines for some of the most majestic scenery in the country, most of which you will find in the area. An Alaska cruise will allow you to see these sights, and much more.

Most cruises to Alaska begin in the Emerald City, or Seattle. There are a few major cruise lines that have the famous Seattle to Alaska cruise.

Offering seven day cruises from Seattle to Alaska, Princess Cruises has two new vessels it has devoted exclusively to Alaska cruise tours. The Seattle to Alaska cruise leaves every Saturday and Sunday from the Cruise Terminal.

Norwegian Cruise lines also makes the Seattle cruise terminal the home port for its Alaska cruises on its town ships, the Norwegian Spirit and the Norwegian Star. Saturday and Sundays are days that the Alaska cruise departs, so weekends are a busy time here.

Alaska Cruise tours can also be enjoyed on Holland America, whose flagship vessel the MS Amsterdam takes passengers up north. Celebrity Cruises has cruises on its Mercury Ship, which has 7-day cruises to Alaska.

In Alaska, there are tons of stuff to do. Places like Seward like Seward or Glacier Bay are great places to see on an Alaska cruise. At Glacier Bay, snow capped mountain ranges come right up to the water, so there are a variety of scenic vistas and marine life. There are a number of habitats for different animals to make their home in, from sheltered bays with coastal beaches, and glacial freshwater lakes that you will see on an Alaska cruise tour.

Bears, whales, and giant penguins are some of the animals you will see on a Seattle to Alaska cruise, so if you do come to the Pacific Northwest, be sure to enjoy a trip up north with one of the trusted cruise lines that go to Alaska on cruises from Seattle.
