Crystal Mountain Half Pipe

The Crystal Mountain half pipe is one of the newer attractions at this ski area in Western Washington. As snowboarding has become more popular in recent years, Crystal Mountain and other ski areas in the Evergreen State have responded, adding trails and terrain to suit these visitors as well as the more traditional skiers. The terrain at Crystal Mountain included beginner and advanced options, a mogul run, and the half pipe.

Snowboarding lessons are also available for beginners, and this ski resort is particularly well suited to new snowboarders, with a good lift system and plenty of novice-friendly snowboard runs. Located near Mt Rainier National Forest, Crystal Mountain is only 76 miles from the city of Seattle, which makes it a popular day trip destination for residents and visitors alike.

One of the best aspects of the park is that there are no restricted areas for snowboarders, which is often true at ski resorts, so you can still explore the dozens of wonderful trails at Crystal Mountain, even if you don’t ski. If this is how you want to spend your trip to Washington, keep an eye out for vacation packages that can help you bundle your costs and save money, and look into the many lodging options in the area so you can stay a few days and enjoy the scenery in the Cascades.
