Eastsound WA

Eastsound Washington is the main population hub on Orcas Island. This island, in turn, is the largest of the San Juan Islands, and many also consider it to be the most beautiful. In addition to savoring the natural beauty of the island, Orcas Island visitors come to enjoy whale watching tours, as well as tours of other varieties. Hiking and kayaking are just some of the other activities that can be enjoyed on Orcas Island tours. When a break from such activities is in order, Eastsound offers plenty to enjoy on the side, including some of the island’s best restaurants and shops. It also provides some enticing options for places to stay, including spacious and well-equipped vacation rentals.

Eastsound Washington sits on a lovely bay on the northern side of Orcas Island. The setting is a wonderful one, and since this is the island’s main hub, it isn’t difficult to find things to do when you’re not kicking back on the waterfront and taking it all in. Eastsound is definitely the Orcas Island shopping hub, and some interesting art studios that are found in and around town only increase the shopping opportunities. Checking out the local history museum is also something that is recommended during a visit to Eastsound, and nearby Moran State Park certainly begs a visit.
