Lake Chelan lodging is located along the shores of one of Washington’s most scenic landscapes. This narrow lake stretches for 55 miles, named for the Salish Tribe’s word for deep waters. Delightful in any season, the lake is known for its views as much as its recreational options. Whether you’re coming to enjoy the views, go boating in the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, or taste the wine, you’ll need somewhere to stay once the sun sinks below the horizon. With an abundance of vacation rentals, campsites, and resorts, it won’t be difficult to find the perfect place to anchor a night or a week.

A stay at a lake house is a vacation staple for a reason. A rental house gives you plenty of space to call your own, along with the comforts of home like a fully stocked kitchen and rooms were you can close the door. Many of the rentals are located right on the shores of the lakes, which means you don’t have to worry about parking or dealing with the crowds. You can head to the lake any time you want and have hassle-free fun.

While some enjoy the privacy of rentals, more traditional forms of Lake Chelan lodging suit others types. Since people starting vacations in the Lake Chelan region in the 1880s, they’ve been staying in resorts. Today, it’s not hard to find luxury hotels on the shores of the lake. Some offer a small number of rooms to accompany a large number of experiences. Take for instance Darnell’s Lake Resort. It has 38 well-appointed guestrooms to go along with its 300 feet of private beach and four acres of property home to a putting green, outdoor pool, and tennis courts. Campbell’s Resort is larger, with eight acres, 1,200 feet of beach access, and 170 guestrooms. Whichever resort you choose, you can expect to find great views to match the top-notch service and a long list of things to do on site.
