Motor Home Rental Seattle

Motor Home Rental Seattle
Car Rental | Motorhome / RV Rental | Washington State Ferry

For travelers who want to explore the city of Seattle and also venture out to the Olympic Peninsula or up to Mt Rainer, motor home rental Washington is a popular choice.  Motor home size range from the small, about 22 feet long, to the very long, at about 34 feet long.  Prices for motor home rental Seattle vary depending on the season, with prices being higher in the summer when motorhome rental Seattle is most popular.  Expect to pay between $50 and $200 per day for your motor home rental Seattle, with the price increasing as the size of your motor home rental Washington increases.

Many drivers getting a motor home rental Seattle for the first time wonder whether or not they will need a special driver’s license as they might for a motorcycle.  The answer is no; your valid United States driver’s license will suffice as your license for driving a motor home rental Washington.  If you have never driven a motor home before, however, it is a good idea to do some test-driving before you head out on the open road.  Most rental companies will offer a tutorial with tips for driving a motor home rental Seattle when you pick up the vehicle.

Most Motorhome rental Seattle companies also provide vehicle insurance for an additional fee to drivers.  You can apply your own car insurance to your motor home rental, but often purchasing additional insurance is a good safe step to be sure both you and the vehicle are covered in the event of an accident.  Roadside assistance for flat tires or breakdowns should also be provided by the rental company.  You must be at least 25 years old to rent a motor home through most companies.

Almost every motor home rental Washington company will also require a damage deposit when renting a vehicle.  The damage deposit will be a percentage of your overall fee, usually about 25%.  In general, expect to pay the damage deposit in advance, either when you make your reservation or when you pick up the vehicle.  Usually, this damage deposit will be applied to your final fees when checking out at the end of your trip.

Motor homes also come with their own particular needs.  Although you are not usually responsible for emptying your motor home’s septic tank, you will be responsible for taking care of that if you fill the tank.  This will usually require heading to a gas station or campsite, where septic tanks are available in which to drain your motor home waste.  Electricity is also an issue, as many travelers want to keep their lights and stoves working when they are not driving.  Most motor homes, especially the very large ones, will have generators onboard to keep these things running.

Fees for camping at an RV campsite are generally different than regular camping fees.  If you want to hook up to a campsite’s electricity or other services, you will need to pay.  Prices can be as low as $15 per night, and as high as $75 night to hookup to the campsite system.  Small motor homes usually sleep between 2 and 4 people, while large motor homes can sleep 6 and sometimes 8 people.
