Seattle Concerts

Every summer, Seattle comes alive with excitement and activity. At the heart of the festival season, Seattle Concerts take the main stage, and the center of the action.

One of the most well known arts festivals is Bumbershoot, which is held on Labor Day weekend. Besides music, you will be able to find art of other kinds, like dance, and poetry performances, making this one of the biggest Seattle summer concerts. Spread out over four days, 18 different stages inside the campus of the Seattle Center play the host for the best musical acts to come through Seattle. Aside from the great music, there are loads of booths with crafts and some of the best local food, including drinks from local Washington breweries.

The Seattle Music Fest, which takes place earlier in the year, is also one of the biggest Seattle summer concerts. Here, there is only one main stage, and it is right on Alki Beach. It is held from August 12-14 this year. This is a free, all-ages event, so anyone can come to one of the top Seattle concerts. You are surrounded by a lovely beach, the mountains, and the best bands in Seattle. If you love music under the summer sun, Seattle concerts fit the bill quite nicely.

If you like jazz, you might enjoy the Earshot Jazz Festival. Spread out over 22 days, this Seattle concerts schedule features over 55 events, from films to educational events. Northwest Life is also one of the top Seattle summer concerts. It takes place on Memorial Day weekend and features traditional and native arts.

If you're not into rock or folk shows, there is an excellent classical music orchestra in Seattle. The Seattle Symphony plays at Benaroya Hall, which is a new building inaugurated in 1998. You don't need to be 21 to come see the Seattle Symphony. Kids will love the Discovery Center at the Seattle Symphony, where they can learn about classical music and orchestras.

Other popular venues in Washington State you might see when you're looking for area concerts in the Gorge Amphitheatre. This is a 40,000 person concert hall overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. This open air arena is a great place to see live music, and large bands who love the area will come here and play. The Gorge Amphitheatre is great for large shows, since there is plenty of room to seat all the attendees.

On the Muckleshoot Indian Reservation, the White River Amphitheater also hosts big shows. This is another great outdoor venue that puts on shows, rain or shine. White River Amphitheater is only 35 miles from Seattle, so this is a great place to enjoy the outdoors and some great music to boot.

If you're looking to see what the upcoming Seattle concerts are, you can go to an online ticket seller like ticketmaster or go to the website for the White River Amphitheatre, the Seattle symphony, or the Gorge Amphitheater to find out more about the venues and the concerts that are going on.
