Seattle Center Hotels

Seattle Center hotels might be the perfect accommodation choice for you if you’re the type of traveler who likes to be in the center of the action. Many of the main attractions, including the iconic Space Needle, are located in this part of the city north of downtown. Other tempting options around Seattle Center include waterfront hotels and boutique hotels, but many travelers choose the hotels near the Space Needle instead. Although there are many options in this part of the city, you will want to make reservations ahead of time, especially if you are visiting during a popular season such as the summer or during one of Seattle’s popular festivals.

There are Seattle Center hotels to fit a variety of budgets. If you’re traveling on a budget, you can check out budget-friendly chain options such as the Hampton Inn, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn (pictured above), and La Quinta Inn. These hotels near the Space Needle are affordable but at the same time offer a good range of amenities. In most of them you will find complimentary wireless internet and often a complimentary continental breakfast. Many travelers choose this type of affordable hotel because they don’t plan on spending much time in the hotel. If you want to enjoy all the dining, nightlife, and attractions that Seattle has to offer, why splurge on a hotel room? These cheaper options are often a much longer walk from the waterfront attractions, however, so keep that in mind when booking your room.

Some visitors would argue that there are several hotels in Seattle that are worth a splurge, both for location and the quality of the lodging. The Edgewater Hotel for example offers spectacular views of the water, and has rooms with cozy fireplaces to take it all in. The Edgewater is located right along Elliott Bay, with views of the water and the Olympic Mountains, and has won several awards. In addition to the luxurious amenities and the high-class Six Seven restaurant, this hotel also boasts a great location for walking to Pike Place Market and other waterfront attractions south of Seattle Center.

If you want to be close to the Pike Place Market, another waterfront option among the Seattle Center hotels is the Inn at the Market. Located about a mile from the Space Needle, the Inn at the Market has also won awards from Conde Nast Traveler, Travel & Leisure, and other groups, and it boasts beautiful views—all the rooms have floor-to-ceiling bay windows, as well as luxury beds, free wireless internet, flat-screen TVs, and easy access to some of the best attractions in the city, from restaurants and shopping to the nightclubs in Belltown.

These hotels near the Space Needle also offer close proximity to other top Seattle attractions. During your time in Seattle Center, be sure to check out the Forest Amusement Park, the Children’s Museum, and the Pacific Science Center, as well as the Olympic Sculpture Park, along with taking the all-important trip to the top of the Space Needle. A great reason for choosing Seattle Center hotels is their proximity to many local events, so if you’re traveling to Seattle for the Irish Festival, Bumbershoot, or Bite of Seattle, book one of the rooms in this area and enjoy being just a short walk from all the action in the most famous city in the Pacific Northwest.
