Wisconsin Airport Hotels

Wisconsin airport accommodations are the first things many people look for when they begin to plan a vacation. There are some very unique Wisconsin airport hotels and motels that cater to business travelers, individuals, and families, as well as to tourists on vacation packages looking to find the best things to do in the state. There are Wisconsin airport accommodations of all sorts to be had wherever you find an airport.
Since most people fly into the state's largest city, there are many hotels near the Milwaukee airport. General Mitchell International Airport is the largest and busiest airport in the state, but it is located only six miles from Milwaukee city center and is still very accessible to all the city's attractions and central to car rental outlets.
Since this is an international destination and a major metropolitan area, you will find many fine, full-service hotels near the Milwaukee airport that offer all the amenities and facilities you'd expect in a large city. The majority of these are part of nationwide (or even international) chains, such as Holiday Inn, Comfort Suites, Radisson, etc. They will come equipped with business centers, meeting facilities for events, and provide deluxe rooms and amenities. They all have parking, and dining venues. Most will have swimming pools and fitness centers, and some will have spa facilities. The best three star hotels near the Milwaukee airport are the Wyndham, La Quinta, and Holiday Inn. Closest to the airport, at under a mile, is the Clarion.
You'll also find these in many of the resorts and major cities throughout the state. Don't worry if you're on a budget. You'll find cheap Wisconsin airport hotels in Milwaukee as well as the capital city of Madison and other metropolitan areas. There are also always motels to be found around the airports. In the smaller towns, you might even be able to locate charming bed and breakfast inns that are full of history and allow you to get to know the local people.
There are very few areas where you find Wisconsin airport accommodations to be inconveniently located. Virtually all the state's airports are within a very few miles of the towns, cities, and regional attractions. The Green Bay airport, for instance, is only five miles from both the city and Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. Many popular tourist destinations share a conveniently located airport between cities. Manitowoc and Two Rivers and Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo are two examples where you will find the airport about halfway between each town. If you're visiting Kenosha, which is in the southern part of the state on the Illinois border, you may find that your best Wisconsin airport accommodations may well be at Midway or O'Hare Airport in Chicago.
One of the most unique of all Wisconsin airport hotels is in Oshkosh. One of the most important events in the state, the annual EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) Air Show is held here, and brings in almost a million visitors each year. The Oshkosh Hilton Garden Inn is actually located on the airport grounds, and provides airplane parking for those who fly in to the show in their own aircraft.
