Lake Geneva Hotels

Lake Geneva hotels overlook one of the most popular leisure destinations in the entire state of Wisconsin: the lovely Geneva Lake. The town and the lake have a slightly different name, but both share a connection that goes way back. For generations, visitors have been heading to southern Wisconsin to leave behind the ordinary and spend some time relaxing and soaking in the fun of shore-side vacations. Unless you’re lucky enough to have own a beach house, you’ll need somewhere to spend the night. If you want to spend the night under the stars next to a tent or you’d prefer a luxury suite, you’ll find it in this beach town.
Luxury Resorts

After the Chicago fire in the 1870s, many of the city’s movers and shakers chose Lake Geneva to build their summer homes and resorts. The tradition continues today, and some of the first Wisconsin hotels are located along the shores of Geneva Lake. The highest rated hotel, the Grand Geneva (pictured), is less than an hour away from Milwaukee and Chicago’s northern suburbs. The four-diamond resort is nestled on 1,300 lakeside acres, complete with 355 guest rooms, a trio of restaurants and a wellness spa. The resort offers a host of packages for relaxing, golf and other getaways. When you consider the other resorts and hotels in Lake Geneva, you have many choices for the perfect beach vacation.
Bed & Breakfasts

Some people enjoy the amenities of Lake Geneva hotels, but they’re looking for something with more personalized attention. This is exactly where a bed-and-breakfast inn comes in. Guests enjoy plenty of privacy, but they don’t have to trade away any amenities. The Golden Oaks Mansion (pictured) is one of the many beachside manor houses that’s been transformed into a welcoming place to spend the night. Innkeeper Nancy Golden Waspi was drawn back to her hometown and this historic home. It’s now been restored and turned into a wonderful example of Lake Geneva hotels. The Golden Oaks is just a short walk to downtown Geneva and all of its fun things to do and places to eat.
Budget Hotels
You don’t need to be a millionaire to enjoy a vacation in Lake Geneva. Several of the properties have great rates without compromising comfort. When you choose a place to stay that’s a little farther away from the lake, you’re more likely to save money. Lake Geneva is a fairly small town, so it’s not hard to get to the beach or the boutique if you stay in one of the farther away properties. Another great way to save money is to visit in the off season. Even the resorts and luxury hotels will drop their rates in the winter an the shoulder seasons. Lake Geneva doesn’t shut down when winter arrives, so there’s still plenty to do, even on a tight budget.
Cabin Rentals & Camping
Lake Geneva’s campgrounds and camping sites are another source of great value. Of course you don’t need to be a budget conscious traveler to enjoy the great outdoors. If you’re not the type to pitch a tent, you could rent one of the cabins. Sometimes it’s nice to have a roof over your head while you’re camping. You'll also find hook ups for RV camping, so whatever you're style, there will be a campground for you.
