Jackson Hole is a town
and a valley sheltered by the Teton Mountain Range.
Jackson Hole, also referred to as just Jackson, has become
one of the most popular ski destinations in the west and
as long been a favorite ski spot for Wyoming locals.
For travelers who come to ski
or who come to visit Grand
Teton National Park, Jackson Hole hotels offer increasing
nice accommodation, with pampering for those who seek
it and budget Jackson Hole lodging for those who just
need a place to sleep.
Teton Village is the main hub for skiers and home to a number of Jackson Hole’s most upscale Jackson Hole resorts. Teton Village is found within walking distance of the ski hill itself, close to the Snake River (a great spot for fishing in the summer). Jackson Hole hotels in Teton Village will be more expensive during the winter when the chairlifts are open (late October until late March) and less expensive during the summer.
The Alpenhof is one of the coziest Jackson Hole hotels in the village. This Bavarian-style hotel creates a fun mountain atmosphere for Jackson Hole lodging and is literally steps away from the chairlifts. This Jackson Hole resort ranges between $150 and $400 for a standard room, and is more than $500 per night for a suite. Most of the hotel rooms have small fireplaces and large bathrooms, making this one of the most popular Jackson Hole hotels in Teton Village.
Downtown Jackson Hole hotels are also increasing in
number. For travelers who want to find budget accommodation,
Jackson Hole hotels in town are the way to go. Jackson
Hole lodging in town will be found mainly through older
hotels which have been renovated, and a few brand new
hotels. Contrary to Jackson Hole hotels near the
ski hill, Jackson Hole resorts in town will be more expensive
during the summer months. This is due in large part
to the number of vacationers coming to Jackson Hole during
the summer for fishing or rafting trips along the Snake
River or hiking and camping
trips through Grand Teton National Park.
One of the most popular Jackson Hole hotels in town is the Amangani’s. This is an upscale hotel with rooms that cost between $750 and $1300 per night, with amenities such as fire places, great views and plenty of privacy. For a less expensive choice, try the Anvil Motel, located in the heart of town. The Anvil is run more like a hostel at $25 per person per night, but it is clean, cozy and features a hot tub and lockers for hotel guests.
