Old Faithful Inn

The Old Faithful Inn, which is open from mid-May through mid-October, is a stunning example of old-fashioned comfort combined with modern amenities. The inn itself is log-built and one of the largest wooden structures in the world. The warmth of wood architecture and pine railings along the log stairs, combined with views of Old Faithful Geyser and no distractions from radio, television, or internet activity is in tune with Yellowstone's history, and it provides a truly rustic and relaxing atmosphere for your vacation.

One of the attractions of the historic Old Faithful Hotel is the history of the hotel itself. The Old Faithful Inn Yellowstone is more than a century old, and its ageless style is reflected in its architecture and décor. When you step inside the inn, you step back in time as you enter the lobby known as the Old House. Built in 1904, this building exudes comfort and warmth with its massive stone fireplace, hickory furniture, antiques, timbered columns, finely etched glass panels, and overhanging outdoor porches for viewing the geyser basin.

At the Old Faithful Hotel, guests can expect superior service as well as convenient amenities including an onsite ATM and fax machine. To ensure all guests receive proper customer service, multilingual staff members are available to help international travelers with anything they may need. The Old Faithful Inn also has handicapped-accessible common areas, rooms, and other amenities.

A variety of room choices and price ranges are available at Old Faithful Inn including suites, semi-suites, medium to high-range priced rooms, and rooms with shared private bathroom facilities. Suites and semi-suites provide a sitting room, two queen-size beds, and a private bath equipped with tub and shower. Suites also contain a refrigerator.

Mid-range and premium priced rooms include a choice of double or queen-size beds with a private bathroom including a tub. Rooms without private baths contain queen-size beds and a sink, but there are shared bathroom facilities for multiple rooms that provide private showers. All rooms are nonsmoking, and the inn doesn’t allow pets.

There is also an in-house restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner entrees, as well as buffet. The restaurant offers a children’s menu and extensive wine list, and seating in the dining room can accommodate up to 300 guests. Reservations are still recommended, however, as this is a popular dining spot among many Yellowstone visitors.

In addition to the restaurant, the Old Faithful Hotel also has food to go. If you’re planning a hiking trip or a fishing excursion, you can pick up snacks, salads, pasta, and sandwiches from the Bear Paw deli, as well as fresh bakery goods such as cinnamon buns and muffins. If you’re look for something sweet at the end of the day, ice cream is also available. It’s even possible to do your souvenir shopping here—the Old Faithful Inn has a gift shop.

The Old Faithful Inn Yellowstone is the most popular lodging option in the park. In addition to the historic atmosphere and reliable accommodations, there are also options to arrange activities such as sightseeing tours of the Yellowstone area, the geyser basins, and the volcano through the inn’s activity desk.
