The diving in Dominica is enough to float the word "stress" right out of your vocabulary. Soldierfish Cave, above, is located in the Scotts Head Marine Reserve just off of Dominica's southwest coast, near the fishing village of Soufriere. Look for blackbar soldierfish, orange crinoids, a small barrel sponge, and red encrusting sponges. Also in Soufriere you'll find Nature Island Dive(www.natureislanddive.com), a full service adventure outfitter. The experienced staff supplies the equipment and expertise to set you up for a full or half day of diving, snorkeling, kayaking, or mountain biking. The shop specializes in small group dives for beginners or experts, and PADI courses are available at all levels.

The Scotts Head Pinnacle reef is home to many living creatures. Above you can see trumpet fish, brown chromies, black box and yellow tube sponges, sea fan coral, and a sea whip. The shallow reef provides excellent snorkeling as well as diving, and is a favorite feeding ground for Brown Booby and Frigate birds.
