Arequipa Hotels

Arequipa, Peru, besides being quite possibly the most attractive city in the country, is a popular city for Peru tours and treks at nearby Colca Canyon, and on and around the area’s volcanoes. Arequipa is the second-largest city in Peru, and because of both that and its popularity with outdoor enthusiast’s, you can expect a nice variety of Arequipa hotels. Those looking for comfort, will find that the Arequipa luxury hotels are both elegant and well-priced, and there are a sufficient number of hostels here, most of which are nicer than hostels found in other Peru cities and towns. The old part of town is where you will want to make your Arequipa, Peru hotel reservations if you want to be within walking distance of the city’s best sights and restaurants. For a quiet section near the Plaza de Armas, check out its north side, which is among the nicer parts of town.

When it comes to Arequipa luxury hotels, coming in at the top of the list is the Casa Arequipa. An elegant and charming boutique hotel, it might just be one of the top places to make Peru hotel reservations, offering so much for such a great price. Located in a quiet residential area, it is just about a mile from the center of town, and it has plenty of character. Once a residential mansion, this pink hotel has been nicely restored, and its limited amount of units means that you can expect the best in service. The breakfast buffet at Casa Arequipa, which is included in the great rates, is one of the main perks, and for help making dinner reservations, just ask the staff. Rooms here are well-decorated, with great bathrooms and wonderful beds. You will find a CD player in each room, and the hotel has a CD library from which you can make selections. In terms of great Arequipa hotels, you should look here first.

You will pay a bit extra than normal for a room at the Sonesta Posada del Inca, but it is right on the picturesque Plaza de Armas, and the views are among the best of all the Arequipa hotels.
