Lima Hotels

Lima is the country’s largest city, and as such, you can expect to find some of the best museums in Peru here.  Lima is also a top place for shopping in Peru, boasting the widest array of shops.  As you can also imagine, the Lima hotels are pretty bountiful, with choices to suffice any budget.  The hostels in Lima, which are found in good number, prove ideal for the budget traveler.  Many visitors looking for a peaceful, safe and overall nice area will find that most of the best Lima Peru hotels are located in the neighborhoods of Miraflores, San Isidro and Barranco.  The Miraflores hotels, in particular, are a favorite for discerning travelers looking for Lima hotels.

If you just got off your plane in Lima and are excruciatingly tired, you might consider finding a Lima airport hotel.  This can also be a good idea if you are flying out the next day and want convenience over everything else.  A hard to beat choice for best Lima Peru hotels close to the airport is the Ramada Costa Del Sol Lima Airport hotel.  After you exit customs, you simply cross the street and there you will find the Ramada lobby.  You can expect large rooms at this most convenient Lima airport hotel, and the safe, minibar and sofa are ideal for kicking back and relaxing.  The large beds feature comfortable bedding, and in the morning, you can enjoy the nice buffet breakfast spread.  Free internet service is a plus here, and the staff is quite friendly and helpful.  The Ramada Costa Del Sol Lima is fairly pricy, but it is hard to overstate the convenience of its location.  Flying around Peru is both affordable and time-saving, so finding a Lima airport hotel is a great for those who don’t have tons of spare time.

If you want to stay in Lima centro, or central Lima, you will find that the hotels found here generally lack character, but there are some nice hotels and hostels to choose from.  Among the best choices for budget Lima hotels is the Hotel España.  More a hostel than a hotel, you can usually meet plenty of other interesting travelers here, and swapping stories of your adventures with fellow travelers on the rooftop terrace is a joy.  The beds here are not anything special and you share bathrooms, but the rooms are clean and their colorful walls make a good statement.  If you don’t mind it a bit loud and somewhat crazy, then the Hotel España can be an excellent choice for budget travelers who don’t mind an air of “festivities”, should we say.  The hotel has a café, and its travel agency can help you plan any Peru tours that you might have been thinking about.  The prices here are cheap, which is part of what makes it one of the more popular budget Lima Peru hotels.

If you are looking for another excellent choice for best Lima Peru hotels for budget travelers, then the La Posada del Parque Hostal just might be your perfect fit.  With just 9 units, this guesthouse is not your typical hostel.  Though it is on the higher end of the rates for Peru hostels, there aren’t many other ones where you can get beer and homemade pizzas when you want.  Satellite television is another plus here, as are the large and clean rooms.  If you are interested, you might ask the owner about the one-bedroom suite that she rents nearby.  There is internet service available at the La Posada del Parque Hostal, and as far as streets in central Lima go, the hotel is on one of the quieter ones.  Art lovers will enjoy perusing the Peruvian art hung about the hotel, and the owner is quite helpful if you have any concerns or needs.

As mentioned, many of the best Lima Peru hotels are found in Miraflores, but in the neighborhood of San Isidro there are some upscale options that will also prove satisfying to the traveler looking for extra.  The Country Club Lima hotel is certainly a candidate for best Lima Peru hotels, and it has plenty of character, not to mention a full list of amenities.  If you are looking for service, then you have found the right place.  As far as facilities go, you will find among them a fitness center, 3 restaurants, a nice outdoor pool, a sauna, a salon and more.  If you like to golf, the hotel allows you access to a nearby golf club.  As you would expect for the high rates you pay here, the rooms are well-appointed, featuring nice furnishings and large, luxurious bathrooms.  Though the hotel maintains an Old World feel, it has all the modern conveniences, including dataports and high-speed internet.  Stay here, and you will see why it is one of the Lima Peru hotels where presidents, princes and personalities stay when they are in town.
