Gathering of the Juggalos is a hardcore festival featuring 100+ bands performing all facets of hip hop and rap music. Juggalos and Juggalettes enjoy their own unique culture. The male and female term refers to those fans of the music group Insane Clown Posse, or other music groups sponsored by the record label Psychopathic Records. Juggalos and Juggalettes have develeped their very own characteristics, idioms, and slang. Once Juggalo Gathering tickets go on sale they sell out fast. The festival has been around for more than a decade, since first created by Insane Clown Posse (Joseph Utsler and Joseph Bruce) Robert Bruce, and their growing record label in the year 2000.

Gathering of the Juggalos Music

Types of music included on the label that are also featured at the Gathering are hardcore hip hop and rap and horrorcore. A sub-genre of popular hip hop music, horrorcore is a type of music written containing strong imagery and lyrical content pertaining to all kinds of horror themes. Though the rap and hip hop elements are much more popular than horrorcore, the festival offers one of the only ways to see horrorcore bands come together and play.

Though Gathering of the Juggalos 2023 is pretty different than other touring festivals like Camp Bisco and Gathering of the Vibes, it functions much like any other festival, but has some unique special events and features. There are your typical autograph sessions, contests, and games, as well as horror-theme events, wrestling, karaoke, helicopter rides, and artists seminars.

Gathering of the Juggalos History

July of 2000 brought the very first Gathering of the Juggalos festival to the stage, sponsored by Psychopathic Records and headlined by Kottonmouth Kings in Toledo, Ohio. The second festival event was the following year at the same venue, the SeaGate Convention Center in Ohio. The next year the festival headed outdoors and remained so ever since. In 2002, the festival was hosted at the Nelson Ledges Quarry Park in Ohio and spanned three years at the venue until repeat offences of drug use, nudity, including 24-hour performances, and plenty of other broken rules, forced the owners to discontinue the event. Since then it has been hosted in various locations around Ohio.

Tickets to Gathering of the Juggalos

Juggalo Gathering tickets are available as a classic four-day pass to the entire festival. This offers access to all festival events, seminars, signings, and concerts. The tickets are sold with accompanying barcodes, which you must take with you to get in at the entrance. Tickets also include free parking and camping. Parking fees apply for anyone parking a car in the camping area and trailer passes are also available.

Lodging near Gathering of the Juggalos

Juggalo Gathering tickets now include free camping passes and festival goers can camp each night of the four day festival. Camping rules are fairly lenient, but rules do restrict weapons, mass amounts of alcohol, and glass. There is a general camping area that is included with Juggalo Gathering tickets. There is also a special camping area called Big Baller Campsite, which is an exclusive area available to anyone willing to pay several hundred sollars to camp there. What's special? Water faucets and individual electrical outlets. These sites offer loads of space and have an extra-special festival feel.
