Club Med

Club Med is a French lodging company that is credited with starting the all-inclusive craze. Founded back in 1950 by a water polo champion from Belgium, the company opened its first resort village in Mallorca, Spain. The upfront fees allowed for access to numerous facilities, and guests could also enjoy a host of activities. Accommodations were included in the price as well, as were meals, and this is still very much the Club Med concept, which as made the brand a standard-bearer among all inclusive hotels. It's a vacation made easy, as guests don't have much to worry about once the fee is paid, save for having a good time. Only adding to the allure of a Club Med escape is the fact that the guest units are of considerable quality, and most properties offer plenty in the way of nightlife for those who want to keep the fun going long into the night.

Club Med Punta Cana

Club Med Punta CanaClub Med operates a number of fantastic resorts, and they can be found in all kinds of exotic destinations. Take the Club Med Punta Cana, for example. When guests aren't kicking back and relaxing on the hotel's private strip of sand, they can delight in any number of activities that are designed for people of all ages. Swimming in one of the resort's pools, playing tennis, doing some snorkeling, and trying a little windsurfing are just some of the activity options. Some activities, such as scuba diving and golfing at an off-site course cost extra and can be worth taking advantage of if the budget allows. Guests can also pay extra for soothing treatments at the spa. Tasteful rooms and suites are also part of the Club Med Punta Cana's makeup, so staying in and relaxing can always be a tempting proposition.

The pristine beach at this Club Med resort stretches for two miles, and should guests need help getting in the right frame of mind, the spa offers yoga and tai chi sessions, and soothing spa treatments. Club Med Bintan

Club Med BintanClub Med Bintan can be found in the same general region as the Club Med Cherating and is also worth keeping in mind when a relaxing all-inclusive vacation in Asia is the aim. More specifically found on the Indonesian island of Bintan Island, the Club Med Bintan is just a 50-minute catamaran ride from Singapore. A mile-long beach fronts the Club Med Bintan, and as is common at Club Med properties in general, guests can pamper themselves at the onsite spa for an added fee. Two restaurants, one of which overlooks the South China Sea, are also among the facilities, and the numerous activity options include tennis, volleyball, sailing, kayaking, soccer, and archery. Golfing at a nearby course can also be a part of the picture for an added fee, though considering how much there is to do on the resort grounds, it might be hard to leave.
