Virgin Hotel Nashville
The Virgin Hotels brand is looking to establish itself within the lodging industry in the coming years, and judging by the success that the Virgin Group has had in all of its other endeavors, this shouldn’t be a problem. Among other things, Virgin consistently brings to the table two major components that are sure to make its hotels popular. These components are style and service. Targeting appealing neighborhoods in big cities across the globe, the aim is to begin with the major urban markets in North America and then go from there. According to plans, each of the Virgin Hotels properties will carry a four-star rating and offer somewhere between 150 and 400 rooms. Other features will include ample communal space and a signature restaurant.
Chicago Virgin Hotel
Virgin Hotel Chicago
The first property under Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Hotels brand is set to open in Chicago. The landmark Old Dearbon Building has been chosen for the project, and it could hardly be located in a more advantageous spot. The 27-story structure sits at 203 N. Wabash, which puts it right in the heart of the Loop. Merely a block away is Michigan Avenue and everything that it has to offer, and it’s also just a block to the river. The Chicago Virgin Hotel will offer 250 rooms, each of which is slated to have an ample amount of light. Some will overlook Millennium Park. As a side note, while the Chicago Virgin Hotel was the first Virgin Hotels property to be announced, there have been some murmurings that it might not be the first to actually open. Since other buildings that the brand has been targeting are likely to require less construction, there is a chance that another Virgin Hotels property will open beforehand in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., or Miami.
