New Year Fireworks

New Year fireworks displays light the skies over cities, towns, and villages all over the world, and chances are good that wherever you live, you won't have to go far to catch a good one. If you are interested in traveling for the upcoming New Years and you want to see a fabulous pyrotechnics display, there are some world destinations that are known for their extra-dazzling displays, and they're the source of some of the most iconic New Years images.

One of the biggest and best fireworks shows anywhere is in Sydney Australia. The Sydney Harbour Bridge serves as the centerpiece for the city's world-famous New Year fireworks extravaganza. There are plenty of prime viewing spots, though they tend to go fast, so you'll want to secure yours early. If you can't watch the Sydney New Years Eve 2012 fireworks in person, you can probably see the whole thing on TV. The event is broadcast around the world.

As for other European cities that are known for their fireworks and their all around New Years Eve celebrations, Edinburgh and Prague are among the best. Edinburgh doesn't have just a single night of fanfare, but four days of celebrations called Hogmanay.

Many of the best New Years Eve fireworks displays are offered in cities that are on the water. On the East Coast of the US, for example, both Boston and Baltimore offer spectacular New Years Eve pyrotechnic displays on the waterfront. There's also the New York City New Years Eve fireworks, which are part of one of the world's most renowned New Years Eve events.

Over on the West Coast, Seattle and San Francisco are among the best places to go if you want to catch an unforgettable New Years fireworks display. The San Francisco New Years Eve fireworks show attracts more than 150,000 people to the Embarcadero area, and should you be hoping to catch the Seattle New Years spectacular, you can witness fireworks being launched from the famed Space Needle.

Many destinations around the world deserve a nod when it comes to naming the best New Years Eve 2012 fireworks displays. The Las Vegas New Years Eve fireworks are certainly spectacular. In Vegas, fireworks for the main America's Party display are launched off the roofs of several casino hotels, including the MGM Grand and the Venetian.
