Rock on the Range

Rock on the Range might be the only rock festival that takes place in both the US and Canada. In Columbus, Ohio, this show packed with hard rockers, classic rockers, and metal bands happens in May at Crew Stadium. The Canadian version of Rock on the Range 2022 unfolds a month later in June at and Canada Inns Stadium in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

History and Facts about Rock on the Range

On average, more than 15,000 fans enjoy the Winnipeg festival, while more than double that have experienced the music and rock in Columbus. It all started in 2007 with the first Ohio music festival, bringing hard rock to Columbus.

After two years of single-day sellouts, the festival expanded to two days in 2009, the same year the Winnipeg version debuted. Back in Columbus, the 2008 festival is best known as the first Stone Temple Pilots performance in many years. Two years later, Papa Roach filmed the video to Kick in the Teeth at ROTR Columbus Ohio. This is not the only large festival in Ohio. Also worth checking out is ComFest.
